The Tennessee Titans play their home games at The Coliseum, located at One Titans Way, Nashville, TN 37213. The stadium was formerly known as Adelphia Coliseum after Adelphia Communications purchased the naming rights in 1999 for $30 million but the name only lasted three years and was changed to the current name. The Coliseum is the home of the AFC South’s Tennessee Titans and Tennessee State University football and also hosts a college football bowl game each season. The stadium can hold 67,000 people and has a natural grass playing surface. The Coliseum is owned by the city of Nashville and cost $290 million to construct. More than half of the money was funded by the city of Nashville through excess hotel/motel taxes and surplus funds. The state provided almost an additional $70 million, $55 million in bonds repaid through sales taxes, $12 million for infrastructure and $2 million in the form of land donations. The team offers fans the option of purchasing luxury suites and club level seats as well. There are 156 suites available that can be leased out for the entire year and club level season tickets, located in the second of three tiers, start at $995 for the entire season at The Coliseum.

The team played for more than 30 years in the Astrodome in Houston before moving to the Music City. The Astrodome was the first stadium to incorporate the Astroturf field for both the Oilers and the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball, and was a state-of-the-art complex in its first years, but in the 1990s, the team was interested in a new football only stadium. The city repeatedly told the team no, and so the Oilers packed up, moved to Tennessee and became the Titans. The city was grateful to have the team but didn’t have an NFL-style stadium ready, so the team played their games at the Liberty Bowl and Vanderbilt Stadium in 1997 and 1998. The Coliseum features all the amenities of other stadiums including large scoreboards behind each end zone, concession and merchandise stands throughout the stadium, and excellent views of the Nashville skyline and the Cumberland River.
